I have had the pleasure of having Eric Himan a very talented artist on my show over a year ago and so it was even better have him back on the show today. He is here to talk about his latest cd called Resonate that you can find in all of the music stores and online. We talk about how things have been going on with him, he tells more about how the songs were created and how he has grown so much as an artist. We talk about his touring all over the country and how some of the venues were not so great but the fact he is able to get his music out there and how wonderful people have responded to his music.

We talk about how as creative people that you have to learn to accept not only the praise you get but also the not so pleasant as well. He has made some big changes to his website and now has videos on that you can watch and see what is going with Eric as he travels the country. You can check out his site by clicking here! Many of them are very funny and will be a great part of his history as he looks back at this time.

In addition to Eric being on the show - I have a new listener Freddy from Austin, Texas and he (like myself) is a huge Eric Himan fan and so I thought it would be great to have him on the show with Eric and hear the show first hand and ask any questions he would like. This episode is all about this weekend as Joe and I went to Indianapolis for my third attempt at doing a mini marathon. You will get to hear the start of the race and I talk as I reach each mile and tell you about the things I am seeing. Joe and I talk after the race as we make our way to a Spanish restaurant that we decided to try. It was incredible placed called Barcelona. Joe and I record as we make our way back home and do a recap and thank all of you who have made contributions to help bail Joe when he gets arrested!

One of the people that helped make the show the way it is from an article from today’s guest to the show - Craig Wilson a great columnist for USA Today. A few years ago, he wrote an article about a gay teen who came out to his family and how the parents kicked him out of the house and he talked about a charity called The Point Foundation. The organization provides scholarships and mentoring to GLBT kids who are not able to get support from the family. He inspired me to not only contribute to the cause but I was lucky to interview one of the scholars and it really had an impact on me. For this reason I really feel that Craig and his article about his life is an inspiration to not only the GLBT community but also to anyone else who reads the article and shows that being gay is simply a part of his life.

Today I talk with this amazing couple as they talk about an amazing journey that began with something so tragic that no one should have to deal with and what comes out of this sadness is a lesson I hope that you all can learn from and be willing to share with everyone you know.

I have talked many times about how we need to have the GLBT community be willing to stand up for what is right and I hope you will truly listen to this story and do something about it. If you are an ally of the GLBT community then we need your support in so many ways and hope you will hear this call to action and be proactive.

As many of you know that for the past two years of my show I have been trying to interview members of the GLBT community so the stories that are being told will help educate, entertain and hopefully change perceptions people have about the community. Today’s guest Chad Hardy wants to do the same thing with the Mormon community by doing a calendar called Mormons Exposed. It is a calender that has 12 men who are really really handsome and you will be amazed like I was with this interview with Chad. From how he found the models and how profits from the calendar will go to charity. He is very well spoken and he admits he likes to ramble like I do! Hopefully by the time you hear the closing music you will think differently about Mormons. I really hope that you listen to Chad’s advice on dealing with groups who are against us!
