Episode 260 The Marvelous Mark
On this episode of Ramble Redhead, I had the honor of interviewing Mark a very good friend of Peter from the They Don’t Know podcast. As with other guests, you will hear all about Mark’s early childhood, his coming out process, his partners and so much more. He is very strong willed on many topics so sit back and enjoy.

I recognize that photo!
I am so incredibly happy that you and Mark finally managed to connect and run an interview. Mark was probably one of the first really good friends I made in Atlanta, and all his friends rapidly became my friends, and I am so happy having met him.
That being said, you managed to get details out of him that I never even knew to look for, Ramble. Thus, I had a wonderful time listening to the interview (and telling Mark that your interview was done and he got to listen), and I greatly envy your interview ability.
Cheers, And thanks for letting me get to know my friend a bit better :).

Far too many of us have had the metal of a gun in our mouths!
I loved the portion about your parents discovering the porn on your computer, and you getting them to believe it was someone else. Been there done that. Fortunatly, I got better at covering my tracks! Great interview!!

A great interview. Mark sounds like a person I would like to know. Since he hasn’t come out to his dad, how does he explain Joe’s continual presence? Is it one of those things that the parents just never comment on?
It is so terrific that he had a gay surrogate parents who came along at just the right time. I hope every gay kid has that kind of just-in-time support.

Great interview, Tom! I always enjoy hearing what your guests have to say, and this was no different. I was fascinated when Mark talked about his love of cars and guns as somehow making him basically anathema to at least a certain segment of the gay population. I’m sure he’s right, but I certainly hope it doesn’t bother him. And, anyway, how boring would it be if we all were the same?!
The discussion of his difficulties in coming out was especially good, and I hope that it’ll help others dealing with the same issues. I’m so glad he made it through those times. Thanks for sharing your story, Mark!

Excellent interview, Tom. Mark sounds like someone I’d be friends with if I met him in the real world. I like it when you “mix it up” a little and interview folks that do not fit the stereotypical norm for gays.
