One of your best interviews, Tom. Ian had so many fascinating things to say, and the "everything's going to be OK" message is so important, too. It took me so long to comment because I wanted to listen to the whole thing and pay attention to it, and I needed time to do that. I'm glad I did. Well done!

Great interview. It was both enjoyable and educational. Like the interview with Rebecca, I learn a lot about trans issues and Ian's life. Very interesting.

Tom - First of all - great overhaul of the Web site. Nicely done and a great picture of you!

This was a very interesting interview. I've not quite finished it but obviously Ian's story is fascinating. I have to say that my struggle with just being gay seems small compared with the struggle Ian has gone through. I hope he is happy now.

I wondered about the fact that he sounds so masculine and the picture seems very masculine that I wondered if attracting lesbian females might be an issue. He comes across so much like the exact thing a lesbian wouldn't want - a masculine male. However, Ian does mention that there are all kinds of lesbians from femme to butch, so there's someone for everyone.

Hey there—Great show! It's the first one I've listened to, but I've heard you on Archer Radio and heard many of your voicemail messages everywhere. In fact, I am having an overwhleming desire to plug you on my show! It's catching! The interview with Ian was great, I'm glad I got a chance to hear it!

Ian sounds like a real sweetheart. It was lovely to hear Ian's story... and I loved the "you're okay, you're alright" message.

The other thing I absolutely adored is when Ian pointed out "Sex, Gender, and Attraction are variables, and only Sex is affixed at birth." It reminds me of the Gore Vidal quote:

"The reason no one has yet been able to come up with a good word to describe the homosexualist (sometimes known as gay, fag, queer, etc.) is because he does not exist. The human race is divided into male and female. Many human beings enjoy sexual relations with their own sex, many don't; many respond to both. This plurality is the fact of our nature and not worth fretting about."

I think that can also apply to gender, and I guess the ultimate goal of all the LGBTQ movements, beyond making sure people aren't hurt or repressed for their sexual and gender leanings, is to make it so people don't care enough about them to ever cause a fuss. Unless of course they are going for a comedic effect ;) .
