Hey Tom,
Just finished listening to the last part of the interview with Tim and Gene. They are an inspiration to see a couple together for 24+ years. One part left a memorable impression with me. Gene began talking about the thoughts we all go through of being scared and the potential conflicts of coming out. It made me stop and think when he asked “think about the amount of energy we spent keeping ourselves in the closet, however long, and imagine what could have been done with that energy in a more productive way.” Hopefully some day it will not matter weather your child is gay or not. As Gene pointed out, life should be celebrated for its diversity. It would be boring if we were all the same. Glad you had the opportunity to interview this couple and the many others. Thank you for bringing there story to us.
